BASES TEÓRICAS DO DESENVOLVIMENTO PRÉ-LINGUÍSTICO: IMPLICAÇÕES PARA O DIAGNÓSTICO PRECOCE DO AUTISMO

Resumo:

O Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) é um transtorno neurodesenvolvi-mental de curso crônico, diagnosticado através do comprometimento qualitativo no desenvolvimento sociocomunicativo e pela presença de comportamentos e/ou interesses restritos e repetitivos. Dificuldades no uso de gestos com fins comuni-cativos, sobretudo aqueles com propósitos puramente sociais, são geralmente os primeiros sinais específicos do TEA a emergir. Por exemplo, tem-se o compro-metimento na habilidade de compartilhar interesses com outras pessoas, o que no desenvolvimento típico pode ser visualizado através do apontar, do mostrar e do dar algo para alguém, coordenando tais gestos com o olhar e expressões afetivas (i.e. atenção compartilhada). Essas peculiaridades no desenvolvimento pré-linguístico, para serem identificadas no momento em que emergem, reque-rem o conhecimento dos comportamentos infantis típicos que são esperados para cada fase do desenvolvimento. Sendo assim, esse estudo pretende discutir as bases teóricas do desenvolvimento pré-linguístico e suas implicações para o diagnóstico precoce do TEA. Para tanto, serão apresentados os fundamentos da abordagem sociopragmática, enfatizando o desenvolvimento da atenção compartilhada nos primeiros anos de vida. Conclui-se que as crianças com TEA apresentam difi-culdade na compreensão dos outros enquanto agentes intencionais e mentais, o que gera implicações importantes para o diagnóstico e intervenção precoce do transtorno.
