Resumo:
Traffic congestion is one of the main obstacles to economic development in developing economies, generating serious social and economic impacts. The aggravation of trade in commercial and urban areas is more stimulating than destructive barriers. The objective of this research is to better understand the social and economic effects of vehicular congestion on roads in the province of Santa Elena. This study collected data from the Google Sheets database for regular road users to estimate the volume and measurement of travel time, delay time, and speed of vehicles on the road. during the day In addition to documenting many social impacts. The level of congestion divided into four road sections was determined from the GPS data of road users. The costs of delays due to traffic congestion have been estimated. The study found that congestion, narrow roads, inefficient public transportation methods, and worker attitudes underlie congestion, leading to high levels of stress for road users, resulting in economic loss per day.
